Fraunhofer IEE

The Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology (IEE) is a research organisation of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. The institute is based in Kassel in northern Hesse. The Fraunhofer IEE conducts research into the transformation of energy systems and develops solutions for technical and economic challenges in order to further reduce the costs of using renewable energies, secure the supply despite volatile generation, ensure grid stability at a high level and make the energy transition an economic success
